FUNNIEST MAN IN SHOW BUSINESS!

His jokes are very modern and up to date. Whether it be politics, race or just some off the wall stuff, his story telling and approach to comedy is unparalleled. Dave's fresh perspective gives me hope that all people can laugh at themselves and others without being a stick in the mud or offended.

5.0 star rating Scott Jones from Cleveland, Ohio

I WAS “SCOTT “

That was awesome, Dave made me the butt of his jokes during the whole show after a brief convo with him at the beginning of the act ....”f#%k you Scott” worth every penny

COME BACK

Had a great time with my hubby! We originally purchased Friday tickets and ended up missing the show. We were unable to get a refund… but in all honesty.. it was worth paying an additional tickets for Saturday’s show!! Thank you dave Chappell for being wonderful and profound entertainer. He concluded a very heartfelt story. If you know, you know!!!

LOVED IT!

If you're a Dave Chappelle fan, you know what you're getting. It was open season on EVERYONE! I laughed so hard. This man's comedy is revolutionary, and nothing short of genius. History will remember him well. If you didn't laugh, well... perhaps you have a brittle spirit.

IT WAS A MASTERPIECE

all the bad reviews here are hilarious, the entire show went over their heads. Everyone did exceptionally well especially Chappelle, nothing was homophobic, actually, it was quite the opposite, it was beautiful and absolutely about unity. You guys were just too busy having immediate emotional reactions similar to a under developed child. you have no care to think past your immediate small emotions and look deeper to what was actually being said. I'd say you should be ashamed but I doubt you're capable.

DAVE’S THE GOAT!

Portland Oregon 4/20/22! You all know it was fire! I’m so glad we took they day off to go see Dave and company give us some great ass laughs and remind us all to dream yiur dreams. He was voracious as always and a treat to see live! Very modern and current, Dave’s hard treading on social boundaries cracks us up and we know we need to hear it! I sure hope Dave was as pleased with us as we were with him in 4/20! It was the best show I’ve seen! It’s true! Even though the line hoppers and the phone lockers tried to spoil the vibe, there was lots of positive vibe around us! The crowd roared as loud and long as I’ve ever seen at Moda. It’s true! Made him smile for sure. Seeing Jeff Ross live was a crack up too! Speed roast master! Darnel was there with the WAP mop too! Lol! Thanks Dave! Come back

MORE THAN A COMEDIAN

It takes a lot to amaze me. I have seen many high profile comics, although all good, Dave is different. He is very natural. Any interruption yielded more humour for him, for his crowd. Most comics need to edit their Netflix shows, Dave could have used that Saturday night as a special. Truly a master.

FOOTPRINT ARENA

Great show from everyone I really enjoyed myself. The disappointment was arriving 30min early and the doors wasn't open, big large thousands of people waiting to enter. Entering about 8p Darnell Rawlins hallway through his time, MosDef rap. CR is funny there was no intermission Dave Chappell as if time was running out. Sad to say Earthquake didn't perform, Dave apologized. I'LL SEE THIS SHOW AGAIN HOUSTON NOT ON LIST.

DAVE CHAPPELLE GOD HOW I LOVE THAT MAN

Waited so long to see him worth every penny the theater no matter where you were was a great angle to see him! He left no one out! Highly recommended! If you have loved Dave all these years you'll love him even more!!🎄🌴 Dave nailed Miami in Fort Lauderdale to the t!

NIGHT OUT WITH THE GIRLS

Loved the show, even the idea of locking the phones up. Of course this didn’t affect me, I left phone purse and all in the car, my friend carried my wallet in her purse. Dave needs to come to Houston more often, we poured out the love and hope he felt it, I felt it. One complaint, the 3 ladies with me had their phones locked up, it wasn’t as easy getting them unlocked. That needs working out. Hope to see him back soon.

CHAPELLE

Went to see Chapelle (my first time live!) at MSG. No bars hold comedy. He brought along some wonderful comedians for great warm-up laughs. Yet, inadvertently they showed just how great he is, master not just of jokes but of delivery, presence, authenticity, humanity. For the haters, as Gervais reminds us: a joke is not offensive, you found that joke offensive.

HE NEVER LETS YOU DOWN!!!

Dave Chappel is a natural!! As I listened to his comedic talent , it’s like listening to a comic friend that everyone wants to be around… He won’t let you down!! His story telling connects him with all walks of life!!! He’s a realist….

FUNNIEST MAN ALIVE!!! CHICAGO, IL UNITED CENTER

Dave Chapelle Never disappoints, I absolutely loved it! Great jokes, current, he is the absolute best… Everyone who came to laugh did… WoW!! OMG!!! Just one of my all-time favorite comedians… He’s the GOAT…. Thank You Sir…

HE WAS HINSELF!

If you don't like him, don't go! He was irreverent, and politically incorrect, but entertaining as can be even making fun of himself. I loved it.

5.0 star rating Mike Young from Tampa, Florida

GREATEST OF ALL TIME

Dave is the greatest comedic story teller of all time! He truly has harnessed his craft in a way that makes it feel intimate in a room with 20,000 people, make you laugh, reflect and appreciate what makes us all different and all the same. If you thought that last Netflix special was controversial ohhhh you haven't seen nothing yet! Hilariously funny!

ATLANTA PERFECTION

When you go see Dave live, nothing else compares. TV can not bring the thrill of a live performance. State Farm was an excellent arena for this, sold out crowd. Dave is the most entertaining and intelligent performer of my lifetime. Fresh material and hilarious opening acts and surprises! Laughs are guaranteed. If you are offended by any of his material you don't belong there. Do not attempt to ruin it for everyone else, get your ass up and out. Stop worrying about the damn phone lock up, it protects the guests from some loser trying to record and then pirate what we paid to see. Don't like phone lock up? Leave damn phone behind few hours, you will survive it. We LOVED it! Dave rocked Atlanta!

4.0 star rating Andrew B. from Boise, Idaho

LOVED IT!

The only knock I have was about the crowd participation. The hecklers were out of control causing Dave to constantly interrupt the show to address them. The actions of some bad actors made this show 4 stars for me.

4.0 star rating Peter from Seattle, Washington

GOOD MATERIAL SHOW TOO LONG

Rap group was long , unusually loud and tedious. Venue opened late and show started late. Show lost momentum before the headliners came on. Openers were good and chris rock was spot on funny and current. Dave chappelle could have left out the weed and honed his delivery without as much cheap masturbation shtick and perhaps a shorter and sharper set. He was likeable and pleasant.

4.0 star rating David Mossey from New Orleans, Louisiana

SOUND SYSTEM WAS HORRIBLE

Went to see Chappelle at Smoothie King Center September 15th 2023. The set was awesome but the sound system echoed horribly. When the comics attempted to lower their voice to reduce the horrible echo we had to strain to hear them. At times we couldn't hear them at all. Whoever assembled that sound system should never be used again.

4.0 star rating Lisa (Gonzo) from Saint Paul, Minnesota

GREAT SHOW

Dave came out at around 9:00 after 4 other comedians. He was funny as always and I loved his performance. He talked about his buddy, Chris Rock being slapped by Will Smith and how karma came along three months later, with getting attacked on stage himself. He cheered with the audience in honor of the late musician Prince. Smoked like a fin as always. I loved his stage being set up in the middle of the Xcel and the big screen above Chappelle to see him fro everyangle. Keep being the funny and outstanding comedian you are, and come back to the Twin Cities anytime! Also, thanks for the cool Chappelle bag you handed out to the audience after the show!

AVERAGE SHOW

After seeing numerous shows on TV...I feel this show was average for Mr. Chappelle. Although a funny stand up comic, the show on July 3, 2021 was not his best routine. Too much of The Roots prior to him starting his skit. I expected more from him. Sorry sir!

3.0 star rating Maribel from Las Vegas, Nevada

DISAPPOINTING - MAYBE A BAD DAY

We are big fans and truly cherish the genius and humor Dave Chappelle has delivered in the past. This show was not exactly that. Darnel was one of his opening acts and completely ruined the show with his incredibly dull and homophobic delivery. His humor was racist, and just mean and not edgy if that was what he was aiming for. The Roots played a full concert and then Darnel came out again as if there were a stalling tactic or internal problem as to why it was taking Chappelle sooooo freakin long to come out. We drove out with family from California, Texas and Tennessee all to watch Chappelle in Vegas. The show was short and felt just a bit sad as though Dave needed some redemption from the LGBTQ community and the entire show was surrounding this issue or topic. I left feeling sad. It all felt like a cruel joke on the audience. I love Dave Chappelle and will continue to watch him anytime he comes out. I hope he can dropDarnel from opening and get a real comedian a chance without furthering his homophobic reputation. I don’t believe Chappelle is anything but genuine and I celebrate his bringing so many out to celebrate after such a tough year. I hope the next shows are better. The guy and family that got kicked out for being assholes and harassing Chappelle were a major downer but Chappelle tried to understand what he was upset or what he needed to say only to be drowned out by the booing crowds. I too wanted to know what this guy was doing by feeling so privileged to ruin the show instead of just walking out like any decent human being that disagrees. The meaness was the real downer on both ends.

OPENERS WERE BETTER THAN DAVE'S SET

I was not impressed with the length of time it took to get into the show, having to secure phones and watches. However I do understand. BUT I missed the first act because of this. I love to watch Dave Chappelle but I was not impressed with his chain smoking on stage or his amount of time. I saw Fluffy the week before and was more impressed with his show. For the amount I paid this was very disappointing.

3.0 star rating Leslie P from Vancouver, British Columbia

NOT QUITE WHAT I WAS HOPING FOR

The lineup to get in took about an hour- largely because of the policy of having to lock up your phones in a magnet lockable bag to get in. Once in , the opening comedian was not that funny, and Dave Chappelle himself was funny enough- after he he came on about an hour and a half after the stated start time of the show. He would not get away with many (most ) of his jokes if he was caucasian (alright, he's not). And, I personally like that he slays quite a few sacred cows- but, in the end, he seems to be aiming to offend as many groups as possible as the whole point of his show. I was glad to have seen him once- but would not pay that much to see him again- especially as most of what I saw was on a big TV screen anyway- may as well stay at home and watch on the TV screen there.

CHAPPELLE ON NEW YEARS EVE COLUMBUS, OHIO

I traveled to Columbus for this show.. I thought it would be extra special because it was NYE. The opening acts were funny. Jon Stewart was funny and on stage longer than Dave. These tix were crazy expensive . I've never seen Dave live. My expectations were wayyy too high for what I experienced. I still love Dave, but I will love him and watch him from afar on TV!

CHAPPELLE DISAPPOINTING AT THE UNITED CENTER CHICAGO 10/04/23

I actually feel Dave let us down. Opening acts went long and were offensive or just weak combined with a 45 min late start (it takes time to bag all those phones) made for some real audience fatigue. Sound system was so bad, you could barely make out what they were saying anyway. Amazingly, the sound got much better when Chapelle finally took the stage? The DJ could barely get the crowd up and cheering when Dave decided to come out to a lukewarm reception. It showed that Dave picked up on it.. Slowly eased into his set with a couple of jokes that a few folks barely chuckled at. This apparently was not enough positive feedback for Dave as he twice repeated the punchlines while tapping the microphone with his fingertips as if to imply “hey…is this thing on?”. Yes that actually happened. Twice. Dave’s attitudes quickly went downhill from there. Half the audience wasn’t even listening to him and you could hear individual conversations going on and hecklers calling out around us. I would’ve never expected this at a Dave Chappelle show. Mostly rehash bits heard many times before. Lots of pauses for Dave to wait for applause that never came or for him to slowly and methodically smoke about 12 cigarettes throughout his very short set. Dave spent at least 15 minutes on a piece about his dreams as a young man which ended with him telling the audience that their dreams were fulfilled by seeing him tonight. Give us a break Dave Chappelle. Get over yourself and write some new material that we haven’t already heard. Shortly after that little gem, which elicited sparse applause, Dave then goes into his rehearsed humanity speech for another 10 minutes and then throws the microphone up in the air to end his show…only to return with all of his opening acts on stage to tell us how wonderful they were, when they would be performing and that we should all go see them, support them and their careers. While we were all walking out, we heard were the same complaints from the audience members. Long delay to start, terrible opening acts, annoying and unnecessary DJ, Dave was too short and he he was clearly irritated….I was a big fan. Just not worth $150 for maybe 40 min of Chappelle smoking cigarettes, walking around in a circle and repeating old jokes I could have have listened to on YouTube. Never again

DISAPPOINTING

Read Maribels review. She is dead on! Although I won’t be paying money to see him again. I was so excited to see him and left just extraordinarily disappointed. I really thought after sitting thru the other comedians and that long and loud concert that I would be rewarded with comedy genius! I was mistaken.

THIS SHOW SUCKED

So there is no place to park around this stadium, and when we finally got there we were told no purses, so we had to go back to the car and lock up the purse. Then it took longer to lock up phones due to Daves vanity of not wanting any unflattering pictures of himself. By the time we were done with that it was 9 pm! Dave came out and was funny at first but chained smoked what smelled like reefer, and kept drinking heavily. His eyes got more and more bloodshot and he became less and less funny. Never again!! Ill watch old reruns of his show!!

DISAPPOINTING

Really looked forward to knocking this off my bucket list. Knocked it off but maybe several years too late. Lost his edge. Told us how high he was too many times. Had too many drinks and just kind of lost track of where he was in stories several times. Spent a lot of time laughing at himself and constantly drinking and relighting cigarettes he had put out. Seemed like he used his “Ron Desantis is a fag” line whenever he needed a laugh or affirmation people were still paying attention. Saw more people getting up to go to the bar while a headliner was performing than I ever have. That says something. Typical South Florida douchebag crowd where people thought they needed to be part of the show. His Netflix specials are fantastic. This night he was the third best comedian who performed.

OUT DATED AND BORING

It’s 2021. Congratulation you can stand on a stage and make fun of gay people numerous times. We live in a world where gay people can’t sand on a stage this big and make fun of another minority, we wouldn't even want to. Catch up to the times. Walked out half way through. Seen better things on Netflix. Very disappointing.

OLD MATERIAL, AWKWARD ENDING, WASTED AND WASTED MONEY

I’ve never been so excited to go to a show in Las Vegas in my life, Dave Chapelle is a genius. The show on Thursday, July 8 was anything but, super old material, often difficult to understand and, the encore with him and Joe Rogan on stage was so awkward. His specials on Netflix are 1000 times better than what happened on that stage Thursday night. The best part about the whole show was YONDR….. it was so refreshing and wonderful to be forced to talk to the people around you. I wish everyone would make us lock up our cell phones before entering an arena ever again. I am completely disappointed by the experience I’m not sure that I would ever spend money to see him again. I really wish I could understand what happened up there and why the material was old.

BULLSHIT SCAM RIPOFF

I went to this show expecting to see funny man Dave Chappelle do his thing. Instead we were shown a 2 1/2 hour documentary of George Floyd and Chappelles outside shows he did in the summer of 2020. It was pretty much just a political pile of crap and shaming cops and white people. When the movie ended and Chappelle FINALLY went on stage I was too bored and pissed to even enjoy it. But that didn’t matter because he was only on stage for a few minutes to hype up the crowd for his surprise musical guests, and the rest of the show was a Justin Bieber and Usher concert. He scammed thousands of people out of hundreds and hundreds of dollars each to show us something that could’ve gone on Netflix or DVD. He went from being one of my all time favorites to I will never watch anything involving him again. Waste of time and money, I took the day off work for it and I would’ve rather have been at work, that’s how bad it was.

IF YOU WANT MISOGYNY...

Then by all means spend money on this show. First act was literally humping the stage. The next act couldn't have a sentence without "cunt" in it. Save your money. Boring and predictable.

DAVE CHAPPELLE

The requirement to have thousands of people lock our cell phones in bags before entering the building, and unlock them after the show caused me to miss most of the show and be stuck in the venue afterward. TERRIBLE DECISION!!!! I was a fan but I won’t ever attend another Dave Chappelle show - ever!!! His content was based almost entirely on bigotry and the topics were very simple. It’s like he didn’t even put any thought into what he was going to say. I think he thought he could get by if he threw the names of some controversial people around and made bad jokes about them. IT DIDN'T WORK!!! I spent $100s on this show for me and a couple of other family members and I wish that I could get every dime back. I would have had a better time if I stayed at home and watched TV.

VERY DISAPPOINTED

My husband and I were so excited to see Dave Chappell in Santa Rosa, CA. However, the show, Dave's performance, was terrible, and, a great disappointment. Dave had low energy and he went on and on about the transgender community cancelling him. Enough, Dave. We paid a lot of money to hear whining and abusive language.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Don’t waste your money, he should give people a refund!! I doubt he even remembered what city he was in . Chain smoking drunk rambling show. Don’t go and Dave go to AA your a fraud.

DAVE CHAPELLE INDIANAPOLIS SEPT 13 2023

From the seats we had, the sound was not clear. (Section 2 Row 11.) We missed most of the punch lines. Also, it was clear that Dave was not himself as he explained. Not worth the money.

NEED NEW SOUND CREW!!!

Awful & a waste of $$$ for us! Indianapolis show sound of terrible!!! Couldn't make out what comedians were saying because it was loud/muffled with an echo that I had to watch the big screen to try & read his lips. We were lower level sec 19. I thought it was due to us seated next to DJ speakers but friends on the other side were also disappointed. Hoping it airs on Netflix to hear & enjoy it.

SOUND

I was very disappointed, sound at United Center is just horrible, couldn’t understand opening acts and Chappelle wasn’t that funny ! Waisted $400

1.0 star rating Gina from Fort Lauderdale, Florida

OMG!

The show was good up until the last 30 minutes. He was angry at the audience. Someone in the audience had a phone. Dave chastised the audience threw down his mic and abruptly left the stage. At first it seemed like part of the show but he never came back. He was childish!

DIDNT MAKE ME LAUGH

No this didn’t work last night. I just didn’t laugh. My daughter and her Fiancée bought the tickets as a gift and I was more disappointed for them. He spent too much time on personal stories poorly delivered and not funny. There was a terrible awkwardness about the show in that he was sipping from what seemed to be an empty cup, light cigarettes but not inhaling and trying to hold all three very awkwardly. The middle act was really funny.

1.0 star rating Rubin from Fort Lauderdale, Florida

PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY

Dave was all over the place . There was maybe one or two coherent jokes. He did not even try and it’s really disappointing. We all should be grateful that Dave made it on stage stoned out of his mind . He made a joke about sleepy joe but I think he was on stage sleepy himself. Could not wait to finish. So at what stage of his live comedian just stops caring to be funny.

1.0 star rating Greg from Fort Lauderdale, Florida

COULDN’T SPEAK

So I love Chappelle & he’s the greatest comedian of all time. But last night sucked. He was too drunk &/or high to get through his jokes. He kept saying he didn’t care if the show sucked because his Netflix contract was ending that night. I’ve seen almost everything he’s done multiple times & I can’t believe I’m saying this but we left early. As soon as he said ‘15 minutes left until my contract ends’ that was it. I wasn’t mad but if I’d known I never would have gone. He left early a couple nights back because someone got caught recording him.

1.0 star rating Sean from Lehi, Utah

NO LONGER A FAN

I've always loved Chappelle's specials, and I was very excited to see him live. I've had mixed experiences with live comedy in the past. I was supposed to bring my daughter, but couldn't. Thank god! Instead, I just embarrassed myself in front of my son-in-law. "Usually, he's much better than this?" I found myself repeating. The openers were dog crap, like it was literally open-mike night. Great comedians usually have great comic openers. They were so bad, I can't even remember their names. Who opens for Chappelle with virtually no material? It's like he just picked people off the street. Oh yeah, there was that guy who acted on the Chappelle show decades ago. Of course, he's not a comedian, so... Jeff Garlan might be the most offensive "comedian" alive. He's like a knock off of Jeffrey Epstein and Harvey Weinstein. Just a gross, unfunny dude. I can't even begin to understand why Chappelle would use such a guy as MC. Then Chappelle.. I guess he doesn't know how to be funny anymore. Sad.
