Great
Enjoyed his show immensely. He shared his personal life in such a touching and interesting way. His vocals were outstanding and combined with his dancing and emoting made for a great night. Couldn’t believe how many many in the audience knew the lyrics. Only wished that he would sing at least one song from Dear Evan Hanson. But, can’t have everything.
Would give Ben 20 stars for tonight’s performance!
Unbelievably GREAT PERFORMANCE!!!! So glad I went tonight and may go back tomorrow. The band and back up singers were exceptional!!!! Had never seen Ben perform live…….AND BOY IM SO GLAD I FINALLY DID!!!!!!

INCREDIBLE EVENING!!
At 55 years old, I've seen thousands of LIVE shows and last night..September 29, 2019 @ Radio City Music Hall in nyc, ranks right up there with the best of them. Ben is a true entertainer with his vocal chops, crazy, wonderful movements, raw and honest emotion, comedic wit and crowd chatting. The band behind him, I believe 11 pieces, were all top of the shelf players. I'm not gonna lie, when the three incredible backing vocalists launched into an a beautiful acapella section, I was so blown away that my eyes welled up with such strong emotional response. To top it off, someday soon, I can watch the exact concert over and over again on Netflix. A hard 10 Stars, and it was easy to see 6,000 other folks in attendance were in agreement.
The Real Deal
Ben Platt's first Canadian appearance (and only the 3rd time he's performed this show) was, to put it mildly, the real deal. Structured with the care, artistry and precision of a Broadway production, he assembled top talent in all fields. The set itself, fairly simple in design but remarkably effective, and brilliantly lit throughout, provided a sense of intimacy not easy to achieve in such a vast auditorium. A group of 9 (or ten?) musicians and back-up-singers provided the perfect foundation for Ben's talent to shine. And boy, did it. Singing mostly songs he has written himself about love, relationships, loss and personal growth, he interspersed these with intimate and quite often funny stories of his life ("I came out when I was 12" he proclaimed loudly. Confident in his voice, secure in his humanity, he was as open, unaffected and gifted a performer as one is likely to see. This show is his declaration that he is an artist and a star to be reckoned with. And he is!
