Playwright Kimberly Belflower's seven-time Tony-winning show, John Proctor is the Villain, is headed to the Milwaukee stage for a strictly limited run. Known for her relatable themes of growing up in the modern age, Belflower brings the same concept to John Proctor is the Villain, and will be joined by the similarly skilled Laura Braza as director. A stunning work depicting the youth of the modern age, that's enjoyed runs on Broadway, and across the country, discover The Crucible in a whole new light as this much-talked-about new play comes to town in January 2027.
A group of Georgian high school students set to study The Crucible. The further they go, the more they dissect the similarities between their lives and the text. Scandals and teenage heartbreak occur, all while seeking to find their place in the world.
