LOW SIGNAL, HIGH NOISE

First 20 mins was about his new book. Very light on interesting physics. Talked about zoolander and how you cant take off underwear just so he could show his cameo in zoolander 2 at the end. Watch his interviews on YouTube because the shows most complex science is about surface tension. Most of the show was him asking the audience if they had seen the movie and polling the children for their ages.

VERY DISAPPOINTING

My anticipation and excitement for the show immediately levelled off as it began and unfortunately my interest and enthusiasm rapidly declined at an accelerating pace as it went on. The captivating scientist we see, admire and learn from in media didn’t delivery anywhere close to that impact in person on stage. The quality of the presentation was a far cry from what we’ve come to love in his media programming and it felt like he was trying to deliver a comedy show mixed with random science facts that piled on to make a point in the very end that left me wondering why it took 2 hours to make and how much of that was filler. Dr. Tyson is brilliant in all that he has accomplished and I’d hope to see that brilliance in person. It sadly fell far short of my expectations. Dr Tyson, focus on what you do best and leave the comedy act to the comedians to deliver.
