Michael Pink's provocative re-imagining of the classic Snow White fairytale makes a welcome return to Milwaukee Ballet, its first performance since debuting there in 2014. Adults and teens alike will delight in this almost Tim Burton-esque style ballet, focusing on the Queen's drug-like dependency on her magic mirror, and the jealousy she feels towards her blossoming stepdaughter Snow White. Sexy, alluring and dangerous, this is fairytale as dark as it gets.
With music by acclaimed ballet composer, Philip Feeney (who also collaborated with Pink on Dracula The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and the critically celebrated 2010 Milwaukee blockbuster, Peter Pan), the seductive action is complemented with stunning couture costumes by Todd Edward Ivins.
