BDAY SURPRISE!
This was a birthday gift surprise and might I add that it was one of the top best gifts thus far. The musical was so good I wanted more after the two hours and 45 minutes. Every character was amazing. My
favorite was Lil Micheal of course. R.I.P. Micheal Jackson. I would definitely go and see this musical again!
Dee from Chicago, Illinois
BRILLIANT
Waited to see this for a long time. Krisha Marcano and the cast is brilliant in this epic production. Best wishes in Chicago, its something everyone should see.
ALVA from Chicago, Illinois
AWESOOOME.

KEPT ME SINGING AND CLAPPING
This musical was great! The performers were both good singers and dancers, and the music just kept going.
I grew up with these songs, so I knew almost all of them, and yet the performers were so close to the original singers that it took me back in time.
I was especially impressed with the actress who played Diana Ross: Allison Semmes, and the actors who played Stevie Wonder:Reed Shannon and Elijah Lewis.
(I kept the program so I could remember their names).
I am a senior citizen, and I think I will go back to see it again!
LIA SWAIN from San Francisco, California
BEST MUSICAL I'VE EVER SEEN
This show was seriously Perfect. I went opening night and it was so fun. I am still singing and dreaming of Motown. The actor who played Michael Jackson was unreal. I didn't think such a talented human could exist. I am so impressed. Please go see this musical. I suggest taking your children too.

Awesome!Awesome! Great performance from entire cast.... Orchestra was on point.... Stage sets were Great.... Sunday July 27,2014.
This was a sistas day event planned by my nephew in Atlanta. Best surprise ever, the theatre brought back memories, great seats, friendly staff.
Really enjoyed Diana with reach out and touch, which got to include my sister singing with her. Great show! Must see!

AMAZING TALENT, SPECTACULAR MUSIC, BEAUTIFUL STORY
My wife and I received tickets as a gift, so we knew nothing about what to expect going into this show. We were both dazzled by the entire production! The orchestra was truly funkadelic and spot-on throughout. The scene design was unique and very effective. The actors, singers and dancers were extraordinarily talented. With that much talent on stage it was nice to see the sort of teamwork and unselfishness that you would not expect from a show that portrays so many diva-like characters. It was not just the music though. They really brought through the humanity: struggles, risks, successes, failures, love, passion and heartbreak. They had me weeping at the end of the first act, and cheering at the end of the second. A big thank you to the cast and company, and a recommendation to everyone to see this show before it's gone!
Paul sharpe from Los Angeles, California
MOTOWN...MORE PLEASE
Great, great, great show, it made me re-live my childhood....fantastic.! A must see.

MOTOWN BRINGS IT
This musical was outstanding. Had us singing, had us dancing , all depictions
were on point. Couldn't wait for the next song. BG's voice had me tearing up.
All of the cast were stellar and brought the energy of Motown to life. I was
thoroughly impressed with Diana on the 11/20/15 show, not original lead. Mini
Michael rocked. Marvin and Smokey were killer too. It is a must
see.
Tony from Little Rock, Arkansas

MOTOWN REVUE
We had an awesome time we had at the Motown
review in Minneapolis. Our dear friends invited us to
come and it was worth the three hour drive. The story
line and the music was great. It took me back to when
I was a young man listening to those songs that I
grew up on. All I can say is gree at job and great
singing dancing and acting. I would certainly
recommend this show to others. Go out and see it for
yourself, words can't express it, you have to
experience it for yourself.

My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed Motown, it was so uplifting. The

that I didn't want it to end. I would highly recommend this musical,
and would definitely go see it again.
Our seats were great, in row E seats 1 and 3, and were right in the
middle of the stage,.

BEST MUSICAL BY FAR
One of the best performance i ever seen.
Thank you for bringing Motown back from
history. I grew up on Motown and to actually
get selected to sing with the cast even for 10
seconds was amazing. My 10 year old son
enjoyed the musical as well.
Thank you

MOTOWN - THE MUSICAL
THIS SHOW WAS FANTASTIC! IT HAD ALL MY FAVORITE MOTOWN SONGS AND I ENJOYED THE DANCING AND SINGING. THE CAST WAS PHENOMENAL AND MADE ME LAUGH . I AM SO GLAD THIS SHOW WAS PERFORMED BECAUSE YOU GOT AN INSIGHT ON WHAT BARRY GORDY WENT THROUGH TO CREATE AND MAKE MOTOWN SUCCESSFUL. THANK YOU FOR COMING TO BOSTON AND BRINGING THIS WONDERFUL SHOW.
Debra Durfee from Braintree, Massachusetts
BOSTON'S BEST
A winner for date night. its got it all. I had such a good view and felt like I was right there

REACHED OUT AND TOUCHED ME!!+++++++++++++
Brought back memories that I didn't even know I had! Such a get up and go show! I wish I
could have stood up and danced the whole time. I've see a lot of shows that this one was
maybe one of the best. I think I might even go again. This was my generation but its a
show for all.
Lyn from Calgary Alberta
BEST MUSIC EVER
Having grown up in England, Motown was the music I grew up with. This musical was fabulous . I thought
the entire cast was fabulous. Would recommend the show to everyone even those who weren’t born at
this time. A strong message about race relations and how sadly some things haven’t changed as much as
they should. I’m definitely downloading more of this music so I can pretend to be 16 again
K. Ruiz from Palm Desert, California
LOVED IT!
I loved it! Great walk through the past with my favorite music. Never a dull moment. Love

throughout the whole show and singing
withevery song!! Music was incredible,
singers talented...a super bring it back to my
home town down memory lane Rock out!

dance floor!
Crystal phe from Tucson, Arizona
GREATEST SHOW EVER
I saw this a few years ago in Seattle and I need to see it again! I loved it and want to know when and where will it be next.
Mike Bass from Boston, Massachusetts
WHERE'S THE BASS?
First off let me say the show was great,
amazing performers, singing and dancing.
The musicians were amazing as well, very
talented players all. Unfortunately the bass
guitar was sorely lacking in volume and
presence. So many of Motown's hits were
driven by the bass, the Funk Machine in the
talented hands of James Jamerson was a key
element in Motown's success. What we
could hear from the pit was great, but in the
house the sound of the bass was decidedly
understated. When we saw the Funk
Brothers at Berklee Bob Babbitt was funky
and loud, driving the band as the bass player
should. I'm not saying the bass should
dominate or overshadow, but when it comes
to Motown those great songs so incredibly
performed are a bit lacking without that
punchy, funky, melodic drive so ably
provided by James Jamerson. (And yes, I'm a
bass player) . It's all about the bass!
Victoria from Denver, Colorado
MOTOWN
Fabulous. Got tickets from my Casino host
In the end cost me a fortune but it was worth
every penny. Barry Gordy and Diana Ross
were amazing and young Michael of course.
Every cast member entertained and I would
see it again. I thought Jersey Boys were good
but this show was outstanding. Thank you so
much for a very enjoyable back to the 60s.
Rosalie from Vancouver, British Columbia
VANCOUVER 2018
We had the best seats in the house, 19 rows
back from the stage and in the very middle.
QE is a wonderful venue.
The first scene looked and sounded like a
high school musical. The singers' voices were
weak and the dance moves amateur and not
in sync.
This did not present like a Broadway
production. The cast although talented, really
had big shoes to fill and unfortunately they
fell short. The costumes were obviously in
with the times but they too were of inferior
quality. The scene sets were of minimal
content.
Was disappointed that there were not many
full songs performed, but only montages of
some recognizable hits.
The orchestra was great! The story was
informative and enlightening. The show was
entertaining.
C. Schmidt from Spokane, Washington
SOUND PROBLEMS OR WAS IT US?
An enthusiastic group of performers tried to carry an immense amount of material and
we were pulling for them, thru out the show. The sound had a lot of problems to our
ears especially for the higher voices like Michael Jackson and the woman who played
Diana Ross in the second half of the show. The player in Ross's role in the first half
played her part beautifully and carried a solo without any accompaniment beautifully.
We missed her in the second half. There were some high moments where the main
players got a chance to shine. We came a long way to see it for a very special occasion.
I am happy to see all positive reviews in this site, the show sold itself as billed as a
colorful and nostalgic production.
Dan Jackson from San Diego, California
SPOTTY
The production touches many memorable tunes which helped shape my youth.
Most of the songs are presented in abbreviated format, otherwise the show would
run twice as long. I did not read the book the show was based upon, but the
production overly focused on the Diana Ross and Supremes Motown connection.
Lost were the many story lines that could have been told about the Temptations and
Four Tops for example.
The performances were terrific except for the portrayal of Michael Jackson which
shouldn't ever be attempted by anyone! Particularly notable was the portrayal of
Diana Ross - excellent.
Worth seeing for pure musical entertainment, but not necessarily the story line or
character development beyond Barry Gordy and Diana Ross.
Ed from Wilmington, Delaware
MOTOWN
Great idea but the singers did not do well singing many of the Motown hits Would be much better if they had voices close to the Artists who sang those great hits
Mike from Montreal, Quebec
MOTOWN
Mediocre acting , dull sets , too long . Musical performances slightly better
than cruise ship entertainment ,
Lil from Columbus, Ohio
THE MAGIC OF MOTOWN
The show was very disappointing. The same singers performed for different artists. Example: The Four Tops were the Temptations ,etc. Waste of my 306 dollars for two tickets,as well as my time! Poor representation of Motown.
Vanessa from Buffalo, New York
MOTOWN THE MUSICAL/BUFFALO,NY
This show was horrible and a waste of our money. The singing was off and the band played too loud. I would love to get my money back. All the other reviews I read maybe they were not the same singers/band members.
Rhonda Leech from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
MOTOWN - THE AUDIENCE SANG BETTER!
This is the worst show I’ve ever seen. From the beginning to the end, not one performer could carry a tune. I had my fingers to my ears, because the “singing” (which was more like screaming) literally hurt my eardrums! I went out in the lobby at intermission and never went back in for the 2nd act. Unfortunately I was with a bus group, so I couldn’t leave the venue entirely.
I talked to a manager at intermission and voiced my disappointment with the performances (along with a couple of other people). She apologized and gave us a number to call to pass on our displeasure of the show. I did call today (Saturday), and was told to call back on Monday.
